Samantha Doyle is a London-based writer and journalist originally from Galway, Ireland. With a background rooted in storytelling and a lifelong fascination with poker, she has carved out a distinctive voice in the world of poker journalism. Known for her vivid reporting and deep narrative instincts, Samantha captures the personalities, psychology, and drama behind the cards.
Raised in a family where storytelling was second nature and games were a regular feature of social life, Samantha developed an early interest in the strategic mind games and character dynamics that define poker. After relocating to London, she began writing for poker blogs and niche publications, quickly building a reputation for insightful coverage and character-led features. Her work now appears in leading international poker outlets, where she covers everything from underground scenes to major tournament circuits.
Beyond journalism, Samantha is currently completing her debut novel - a character-driven psychological drama set in the high-stakes poker world. Her fiction, like her reporting, focuses less on the cards and more on the choices people make when everything is on the line.
When she’s not writing, Samantha enjoys London’s poker nights, strong coffee, and uncovering the untold stories behind the players you think you know.
