The event marks the return of Sunday Million Live after a nine-year absence.
PokerStars brought the tournament back as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, running the festival at Casino di Campione from October 2 to 12.
Players could qualify for Day 2 through three online starting flights and six live flights in Italy. That hybrid structure helped retain much of the Sunday Million’s traditional identity: a comparatively accessible buy-in, a huge field and a seven-figure prize pool.
The original Sunday Million remains one of the most recognisable tournaments in online poker, with the weekly PokerStars event having become a fixture of the global tournament schedule since its launch in 2006.
Bringing the format back to the live felt gave players another route into one of the operator’s flagship titles while producing a turnout large enough to push the prize pool almost €120,000 beyond its guarantee.
Now only nine players remain.
D’Errico has built himself a substantial advantage, but with €150,000 and the Sunday Million Live title still undecided, the final table has plenty left to play for.
