WPT Global Pushes Into Bigger Buy-Ins With Weekly Asia Super High Roller
- WPT Global introduces weekly Asia Super High Roller Championship with ¥5,300 buy-in.

WPT Global spent the better part of 2026 scaling up its Asian tournament schedule. Its newest addition to the schedule raises the buy-ins as well.
The WPT Asia Super High Roller Championship is now a weekly Sunday fixture, with a ¥5,300 entry fee and ¥800,000 guaranteed each time it runs.
That puts the tournament in a different bracket from much of WPT Global's regular MTT schedule and gives higher-stakes grinders a recurring event rather than another one-off festival championship.
¥200K Guaranteed to the Winner
The headline guarantee is ¥800,000, but WPT Global is also putting a floor under the winner's share.
First place is guaranteed at least ¥200,000, worth roughly $30,000 at the exchange rates used in current event material.
The tournament runs every Sunday at 12:05 UTC.

The champion also receives a personalised WPT trophy bearing their name or online nickname, an unusual touch for a recurring online tournament and gives the weekly winners something closer to the hardware normally associated with a live festival.
Smaller Buy-Ins Feed the High Roller
If you are looking for a way to bypass the buy-in, WPT Global thought of that as well, crafting a sizeable qualifying programme attached to the weekly event.
The main ladders begin at ¥11, ¥30 and ¥55, feeding into satellites costing ¥110, ¥288 and ¥550.
Mega Satellites guarantee at least two ¥5,300 seats, while standard satellites generally award at least one.
That satellite system follows the same broad strategy used across WPT Global's Asia-focused festivals this year: put a much larger target at the top of the schedule, then build lower-buy-in qualification routes underneath it.
