GGPoker World Festival 2026
GGPoker has announced the 2026 GG World Festival with $300 million in guaranteed prize money, extending a pattern that has become hard to ignore: the operator is relentlessly building its online calendar around massive global tournament series with headline numbers big enough to dominate the conversation.

The GG World Festival is scheduled for May 3 to June 9, with four buy-in tiers and $3 million in leaderboard prizes on top of the core guarantees.

One Battle After Another

This Mega Online Series comes only weeks after GGPoker ran the 2026 WSOP Online Super Circuit from March 1 to March 31 with a separate $180 million guarantee and 18 ring events. In other words, GGPoker has followed one giant global online series with another, maintaining pressure on the market rather than giving it much room to breathe.

Do you think it is a coincidence?

A Calendar Built Around Scale

On the facts alone, the message is fairly clear.
GGPoker is not just running big series. It is stacking them.

The March WSOP Super Circuit carried $180 million guaranteed, while the newly announced GG World Festival has been set at $300 million guaranteed, above last year’s $250 million edition. That is an aggressive one-two punch in a little over three months.

The structure of the GG World Festival reinforces the same strategy. GGPoker has kept the four-tier model, ranging from low buy-ins starting at $3 to Super Tier events priced above $1,051, while also using marquee events and leaderboard overlays to widen the series’ reach.

It is a scale play, but it is also a traffic-concentration play, designed to pull as many segments of the tournament market as possible into the same ecosystem at the same time.

The SCOOP Clash

The timing of the March Super Circuit is notable because it overlapped directly with PokerStars’ 2026 SCOOP.
GGPoker’s WSOP Online Super Circuit ran from March 1 to March 31, while PokerStars’ SCOOP 2026 ran from March 1 to March 25.
That means the two flagship online festival windows were in conflict from day one until SCOOP ended.

That overlap is not a matter of interpretation. It happened.
The harder question is whether it was done deliberately to clash with SCOOP.

Was It On Purpose?

There is no sourced public statement in the material reviewed here where GGPoker says it scheduled the Super Circuit specifically to attack SCOOP or to force a direct head-to-head battle.
So that part should not be reported as fact.

But it is also hard to describe the overlap as accidental in any meaningful commercial sense.

SCOOP’s March window was publicly known well before the series began

and GGPoker announced the March 1 to 31 Super Circuit on February 24.

That does not prove intent to clash, but it does support a narrower, safer conclusion: GGPoker knowingly launched a major competing series into the same period rather than avoiding it. That is an inference from the published dates, not a confirmed admission of motive.

What It Suggests About GGPoker’s Positioning

The broader pattern matters more than one scheduling dispute. GGPoker appears increasingly comfortable acting as the market-setter in online tournaments, using guarantee size, series frequency and brand scale to keep the spotlight on its own platform.
Which obviously make sense considering that GGPoker is, with any dispute, world's biggest brand - by far!

The March Super Circuit and the newly announced GG World Festival point in the same direction: global, high-volume, heavily branded series are not occasional peaks in the GGPoker model anymore. They look more like the model itself.

For the rest of the market, that raises the competitive pressure. Rival operators can still run strong festivals, but GGPoker’s recent calendar shows a willingness to occupy premium dates, post enormous guarantees and force comparison on raw scale. Whether that is framed as confidence, aggression or market consolidation in practice probably depends on where you sit.

The underlying fact is simpler: GGPoker keeps pushing the biggest global tournament series it can.
