Nevada Casino Revenue Hits $1.39 Billion in July

Nevada casinos generated $1.39 billion in July gaming revenue, up 2.1% year over year. Las Vegas Strip revenue increased 3.6%, supported by baccarat and blackjack, while higher visitation accompanied a record-setting World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
Nevada’s casino industry generated $1.39 billion in gaming revenue in July, marking a 2.1% increase from the same month in 2025, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Clark County, home to Las Vegas, accounted for $1.17 billion of that total after revenue increased 1.5%. The Las Vegas Strip was a particularly strong performer, generating $776.3 million, up 3.6% year over year.
Baccarat remained an important contributor to Strip gaming revenue in July. The game generated $116.6 million, an increase of 2.3%.
Baccarat accounted for almost half of all Strip table game revenue. Overall table game revenue increased 6.2% to $340.8 million.
The performance of baccarat can have a significant effect on casino revenue figures because the game attracts wealthy gamblers whose wins and losses can swing monthly results.
Blackjack also recorded a substantial increase during July. Revenue from the game surged 38.8% to $87.6 million.
Slot revenue increased 1.7% to $435.5 million. Taken together, the results contributed to what was described as one of the top months in Nevada casino history.
Las Vegas Visitation Increased in July
The rise in gaming revenue coincided with stronger visitation to Las Vegas. Visitor volume increased 2.7% to 3.2 million in July, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Overall hotel room occupancy rose 1.1% to 77.2%, while weekend occupancy increased 0.4% to 89.1%.
The growth came while the record-setting World Series of Poker Main Event was underway at the Horseshoe and Paris casinos. The event likely had at least some impact on the rising Strip numbers by bringing thousands of gamblers into Las Vegas.
The World Series of Poker recorded 251,899 total entries across the series this year, the highest total ever. The series produced the second-highest payouts total in history at almost $470 million.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board does not break down poker revenue in its monthly reports, meaning the figures do not separately identify the contribution from poker.
Other July Events Added to Las Vegas Activity
Las Vegas also hosted several other major events in July, including the annual Independence Day celebration, UFC 329, NBA Summer League and several major concert events.
July’s results followed a strong June for Nevada, although baccarat revenue had recorded a large decline during that month.
The July figures also represented a sharp contrast with the previous year on the Las Vegas Strip. Strip revenue fell 8.4% in July 2025 as casinos dealt with declining visitor numbers.
While Clark County posted an overall increase, several areas outside the Strip reported declines.
Downtown Las Vegas gaming revenue fell 8.6% to $68.4 million. The Boulder Strip declined 2.5% to $82.7 million, while Mesquite recorded a 0.5% decrease to $15.1 million.
North Las Vegas moved in the opposite direction, with gaming revenue rising 3.4% to $25.5 million.
Laughlin was largely unchanged, with revenue increasing 0.1% to $41 million.
Reno and Other Nevada Markets Mostly Gain
Gaming revenue was mostly higher outside Clark County. In Washoe County, Reno revenue increased 1% to $76.9 million. Sparks posted a stronger gain of 9.5%, reaching $17.1 million.
North Lake Tahoe was the only area outside Clark County listed as reporting a decline, with revenue falling 5.7% to $2.9 million. South Lake Tahoe, meanwhile, saw gaming revenue jump 5.1% to $39.6 million.
Elko County was one of the state’s strongest performers, with revenue increasing 13.5% to $36.8 million. The Carson Valley area also recorded growth, with gaming revenue rising 1.1% to $12.5 million.
Nevada’s July results reflected broad gains across the state, led by the Las Vegas Strip’s 3.6% increase to $776.3 million. Baccarat generated $116.6 million, while blackjack revenue climbed 38.8% to $87.6 million.
Higher Las Vegas visitation and hotel occupancy coincided with the record-setting World Series of Poker Main Event and several other major events held in the city during July.
Outside Clark County, most reported markets also posted increases, with Elko County, Sparks and South Lake Tahoe among the areas recording notable gains.
