Three Big Blinds to €210,000 as Selinger Wins in Tallinn

Julian Selinger was one lost all-in away from finishing second in the WSOP Circuit Tallinn Main Event. Three consecutive double-ups later, he was back in front.
Selinger completed one of the festival’s sharpest comebacks to defeat Roy van der Reijnst heads-up and win €210,000. The German emerged from a record 977-entry field, while the €1,500 tournament’s prize pool reached €1,253,002.
Aki Pyysing and Jelco Burger also added their names to the festival’s list of ring winners by prevailing in the €1,100 8-Game and €555 Sviten Special.
Record Field Builds €1.25 Million Prize Pool
The 977 entries surpassed the previous WSOPC Tallinn Main Event record of 888, set in 2025. A total of 147 players initially progressed from the five starting flights, with late registration helping push the eventual prize pool beyond €1.25 million.
Selinger entered the final table outside the leading group, while Egidijus Matonis began the day as chip leader. Roy van der Reijnst eventually won the largest pot of the early final-table action against Matonis and continued building until he controlled nearly four-fifths of the chips in play three-handed.
Selinger survived the pressure, doubled through Van der Reijnst and knocked out Kai Lehto in third place. Lehto’s finish was worth €96,950, while Selinger and Van der Reijnst began their four-hour heads-up match with roughly level stacks.
Van der Reijnst Comes Within One All-In of the Title
Neither player was able to hold the advantage for long during heads-up play. Selinger moved ahead through a series of bluffs and a successful bluff catch, only for Van der Reijnst to regain control.
The defining confrontation initially went the Dutchman’s way. Van der Reijnst limped pocket nines and called when Selinger shoved with jack-ten. A nine on the flop gave Van der Reijnst top set and reduced Selinger to little more than three big blinds.
Selinger doubled with king-jack against jack-eight, survived again with ace-eight against queen-eight and then moved back in front when his pocket jacks held against ace-ten.
The final board ran two-five-seven-king-nine. Van der Reijnst had flopped two pair with seven-five, but Selinger’s eight-six completed a straight on the river. Van der Reijnst called the all-in raise and was eliminated in second place.

Pyysing Comes Through Swinging 8-Game Finale
The €1,100 8-Game required another prolonged heads-up contest, with Finland’s Aki Pyysing eventually defeating Marius Toverud.
Toverud received €12,220 from the 63-entry event, while Pyysing collected €18,380 and the ring. The tournament’s total prize pool stood at €59,850.

Burger Beats 130 Entries in Sviten Special
The €555 Sviten Special increased from 113 entries in 2025 to 130 in 2026, with the latest field producing €61,750 in prizes.
The Netherlands’ Jelco Burger came out on top for €15,510. His official WSOP profile records the result as his first Circuit victory and first WSOP cash.
