The PokerStars European Poker Tour is preparing for its highly anticipated annual stop in Monte Carlo, delivering another premium festival of live tournament poker at Sporting Monte-Carlo.

Running from April 30 to May 10, EPT Monte Carlo continues its legacy as one of the most prestigious stops on the European circuit, attracting elite professionals alongside recreational players from across Europe and beyond.

Set against the backdrop of the French Riviera, the series blends high-stakes competition with one of poker’s most iconic destinations.

Key Events and Tournament Schedule Breakdown

The series opens on April 30 with the €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event, a no-limit hold'em tournament structured with four Day 1 starting flights. Players are allowed a single re-entry per flight, with Day 2 scheduled for May 2.

Also launching on opening day is the €10,200 Mystery Bounty event, where €5,000 from each buy-in is allocated to the bounty prize pool, adding a high-variance, action-driven element to the festival.

On May 1, the spotlight shifts to the €100,000 High Roller for One Drop, a marquee event supporting the One Drop Foundation and drawing elite high-stakes players from around the world.

The schedule is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of players, offering accessible buy-ins alongside premium high-roller events. Formats include no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, Omaha hi-lo, and T.O.R.S.E., ensuring variety across skill levels and preferences.

Main Event Spotlight and Defending Champion

The €5,300 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event begins on May 4, featuring two opening flights in a single re-entry format. Day 2 is set for May 6, with play continuing until the final table on May 9. The champion will be crowned on May 10.

All eyes will be on defending champion Aleksandr Shevliakov, who secured victory in last year’s edition, earning €1,000,000 after overcoming a field of 1,195 entries. His return adds an additional narrative layer to an already competitive field.

With its combination of prestige, prize pools, and global participation, EPT Monte Carlo remains a cornerstone event on the international poker calendar.
