Ukraine's Andrii Novak won the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event on GGPoker, overcoming Simon Beckmann heads-up to claim his first bracelet and $3,931,259.
Ukraine's Andrii Novak won the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event on GGPoker, recovering from a substantial heads-up chip deficit against Austria's Simon Beckmann to claim his first WSOP bracelet and $3,931,259 in prize money.
The $5,000 buy-in tournament, Event #28 of the WSOP Online series, attracted 6,008 entries and generated a $28,538,000 prize pool.
Novak also received a $30,000 Super Pass for the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, while Beckmann collected $3,030,486 for his runner-up finish.
Novak began the nine-handed final table as chip leader but lost that advantage as Beckmann moved ahead during the final-table eliminations.
The Ukrainian eventually recovered from a heads-up deficit, doubled up and built a 10-to-1 chip lead before securing the title.
2026 WSOP Online Main Event Day 2
Day 2 of the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event resumed with 608 players remaining from the original 6,008-entry field. Play continued until nine finalists remained in contention for the bracelet and the $3,931,259 first-place prize.
Novak entered the final table with the largest stack, followed by Beckmann. However, the Austrian steadily accumulated chips through the eliminations and eventually overtook Novak before the heads-up contest.
Brazil's Pablo Silva was the first finalist to depart after his ace-queen encountered Beckmann's ace-king. Both players paired their kickers on the flop, leaving Silva with the inferior hand. He finished ninth for $491,676.
Kazakhstan's Yury "Ex Nadinsky" Nadinsky was eliminated next after moving all-in for seven big blinds with ace-four.
Charles "LaughingStorm" La Boissonniere called with ace-king, which held to send Nadinsky out in eighth place for $637,476.
Hong Kong's Arian "Who Am I" Hassankashani followed in seventh place when his pocket tens ran into the pocket jacks of Moyan "JinWanDalaoHu36" Chen. Hassankashani received $826,555 for his finish.
Andrii Novak's Heads-Up Battle with Simon Beckmann
Despite entering the final table as chip leader, Novak began heads-up play at a substantial disadvantage. Beckmann had eliminated three of the nine finalists and accumulated the larger stack heading into the final stage.
Novak reversed the situation with a double-up that allowed him to recover chips and subsequently move ahead of Beckmann. He extended his advantage as the match progressed, eventually establishing a 10-to-1 chip lead.
The tournament concluded when Novak moved all-in holding ace-jack and Beckmann called with queen-seven of hearts, putting his remaining stack at risk.
Novak paired his ace on the flop to move ahead. A ten on the turn left Beckmann with three outs, but a five on the river confirmed Novak's victory.
Beckmann finished second for $3,030,486 after eliminating three players at the final table. Novak collected the $3,931,259 first-place prize, his first WSOP bracelet and a $30,000 Super Pass for the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
