Paul Volpe led the 2026 Borgata Big, Big Series winners with a $492,415 Championship victory, while David Stefanski, Aaron Pinson, Jeffrey Gibson and Andrew Chang also took down top titles across high roller, mystery bounty, mixed-game and Kick Off events at Borgata.
Paul Volpe claimed the biggest listed first-place payout among the completed events covered from the 2026 Borgata Big, Big Series, winning the $5,300 BetMGM Poker Big, Big Championship for $492,415.
The BetMGM-backed series ran at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City from September 13 through September 23, with David Stefanski, Aaron Pinson, Jeffrey Gibson and Andrew Chang joining Volpe among the tournament winners.
Across the five highlighted events, the series featured Championship, high roller, mystery bounty, mixed-game and Kick Off formats, with several tournaments producing six-figure payouts.
Volpe Converts 10th Borgata Main Event Final Table Into $492,415 Win
Paul Volpe entered the $5,300 BetMGM Poker Big, Big Championship with an extensive history of deep Borgata runs.
During the previous 15 years, he had reached nine final tables in Borgata main events across seasonal series and special events.
The 2026 Championship became his tenth such final table, and it ultimately produced his largest Borgata score. The tournament attracted 519 total entries and generated a $3,000,000 prize pool.
Nineteen players returned for the final day, which lasted approximately 11 hours before Volpe secured the title and the $492,415 first-place payout. The result pushed Volpe's combined cashes from those Borgata main events beyond $1.5 million.
Stefanski Turns Earlier Runner-Up Finish Into Big, Big Baller Title
David Stefanski produced two notable finishes during the series, beginning with a runner-up result in the $2,200 Big, Big Kick Off before winning the $10,200 BetMGM Poker Big, Big Baller.
The Big, Big Baller drew 69 entries for a $690,000 prize pool. Stefanski reached the final three alongside Michael Wang and Drew O'Connell, with the trio agreeing to a three-handed deal before continuing play for the title.
Stefanski went on to defeat Wang heads-up and collected $169,220 for the victory. His title came after narrowly missing one earlier in the series against Andrew Chang.
Chang Erases 5:1 Deficit to Win Big, Big Kick Off
The $2,200 Big, Big Kick Off ran from September 14 to September 15 and attracted 456 entries, with a $1,000,000 prize pool.
Andrew Chang and Stefanski advanced to heads-up play, but Chang began the duel at a significant disadvantage. He held only 10 big blinds and faced an approximately 5:1 chip deficit.
Chang completed the comeback to take first place for $182,000. Stefanski received $126,375 as the runner-up.
The result gave Chang the Kick Off title while setting up Stefanski's subsequent victory in the $10,200 Big, Big Baller.
Pinson's Mystery Bounties Push Total Haul to $199,825
Aaron Pinson's victory in the $2,200 Big, Big Mystery Bounty combined an even heads-up deal with a substantial bounty return.
The tournament, played from September 16 to September 17, drew 232 entries and carried a $500,000 prize pool.
Pinson and Matt Glantz reached heads-up play and agreed to an even deal that awarded each player $44,825 from the tournament prize pool. A flip was then used to determine the trophy winner, with Pinson taking first place.
His largest return came through the event's bounty component. Pinson collected $150,000 in bounties, bringing his total haul from the tournament to $199,825.
Gibson Comes Back From More Than 3:1 Down in 9 Game Mix
Jeffrey Gibson added a second Borgata trophy by winning the $2,500 E-Tay's Big, Big 9 Game Mix.
Played from September 15 to September 16, the mixed-game event attracted 48 entries and generated a $150,000 prize pool.
Gibson faced Michael Falk heads-up and began the match trailing by more than 3:1. The lead changed multiple times before Gibson moved in front during the Stud Eight or Better round.
He eventually defeated Falk to secure the $56,170 first-place prize. The win represented Gibson's largest recorded non-No-Limit Hold'em tournament score.
