WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus 2026 will no longer take place, with organizers shelving the festival because of continuing uncertainty in the region. The series had been scheduled for April 25 to May 11, 2026, in Kyrenia, Cyprus.

Another Blow for Live Poker in Cyprus

The cancellation comes as live poker operators in the Eastern Mediterranean continue to deal with regional instability and possible travel-related complications. That uncertainty has made it harder for tours to commit to spring events in Cyprus with full confidence.

This is not the first major poker schedule change in the region. Earlier in March, the World Poker Tour postponed WPT Prime Cyprus 2026, which made it clear that major brands were already reassessing whether Cyprus events could go ahead as planned.

For WSOP, the loss of this stop is especially disappointing because Cyprus had been building momentum as an international live poker destination. Major venues on the island have become increasingly visible on the tournament calendar, making the cancellation more significant than a routine scheduling change.

What the Cancellation Means for Players

Players who were planning to travel now have to shift focus to refunds, travel changes, and possible replacement stops elsewhere. It also serves as a reminder that live poker schedules in politically sensitive regions can change quickly, even when dates and venues are already public.
