GGPoker Ocean KO
GGPoker's Ocean KO brings jackpot multipliers, legendary bounties and a whole lot of teeth to the PKO table.
Progressive knockout fans just might have the next big thing in front of them after GGPoker launched its new PKO format, Ocean KO. If you ever wanted big bounties, the combination of Jackpot multipliers and progressive knockouts should do the trick.

Standard tiers can produce multipliers from 0.4x to 400x, while Legendary levels can generate seven-figure bounty prizes with a single knockout.

How Does Ocean KO Work?

Ocean KO keeps the basic PKO structure but adds a random bounty spin after every knockout.
The resulting bounty prize is split 50/50:
  • 50% goes directly to the player's cash balance.
  • 50% is added to the player's progressive bounty.
Players start at Egg Level 1 and advance as their bounty grows. Unlike chip stacks, the bounty value determines the player's Ocean KO tier.

Ocean KO Multipliers Explained

For the standard Egg to Shark levels, the multiplier ranges from 0.4x to 400x. A $5 starting bounty can therefore produce a $2,000 bounty prize at 400x, with $1,000 paid in cash.

The average multiplier is mathematically anchored at 1x, meaning lower multipliers fund the rarer monster hits.
Multiplier$5 BountyCash Won
400x$2,000$1,000
100x$500$250
10x$50$25
1x$5$3
0.4x$2.00$1.00

Legendary Ocean KO Levels

The format has four additional Legendary levels with fixed bounty thresholds:
  • Legendary Octopus: $10,000
  • Legendary Dolphin: $50,000
  • Legendary Whale: $250,000
  • Legendary Shark: $1 million
The multiplier range becomes narrower at these levels, with the Legendary Shark ranging from 0.8x to 1.5x. That still creates the possibility of a $1.5 million bounty prize.

Big Numbers From First Ocean KO Events

The first three Sunday Ocean KO events on October 4 generated strong numbers:

Next Big Banger Or Bankroll Buster?

Ocean KO takes a proven PKO format and adds a lottery-style element without hiding the bounty value from players.

Mystery Bounty has always drawn big numbers, and I don't see any reason why that wouldn't happen with Ocean KO.

Even though the format is volatile, the jackpot potential gives it such a boost that it's hard to see this as anything but the next evolutionary step for the progressive knockout format.

And then let's consider the numbers: 400x is already crazy, but the Legendary tiers take things into another league.

For players who enjoy PKOs and don't mind variance, GGPoker's Ocean KO could be one of the more interesting new MTT formats of 2026.
