A Community Freebuy Worth Marking Down: PokerHeaven’s $300 GTD on 888poker
- PokerHeaven & 888poker host $300 Freebuy tournament Sep 14, 20:00 GMT.

- Join via 888poker client using password 'gambas'; new players use NEWBONUS for extra perks.
If you’ve played community events before, you already know the appeal. Freebuys tend to attract relaxed fields, mixed skill levels, and a structure that lets players settle in before things get serious.
PokerHeaven’s upcoming collaboration with 888poker fits that mould neatly, with a $300 GTD tournament that starts everyone off on equal footing.
Why Freebuys Work So Well
Freebuys sit in a sweet spot between true freerolls and regular buy-in tournaments. Your first entry costs nothing, which removes pressure early on, but the option to rebuy later means the prize pool still stays relevant.
That usually creates a more balanced dynamic. Early stages are often cautious and players who bust don’t feel forced to chase losses. For many community regulars, that makes freebuys a more comfortable and playable format overall.
