Reddit User Cries Foul, CoinPoker Fires Back with Solver Match Data
- Reddit user accuses CoinPoker of an unjust ban for using RTA tools.
- CoinPoker provides evidence of suspicious play patterns, praised for transparency.
- Confiscated funds redistributed to players affected by cheating.
A Reddit user’s claim that CoinPoker froze their account without proper justification didn’t land the way they expected and things got even messier once CoinPoker brought the logs.
The original thread, posted by Far_State_8335, alleged that the platform banned them for using real-time assistance tools (RTA) without sufficient evidence. The user posted hand histories, screenshots, and a personal defense, saying they wanted to “warn others” about the risks of playing on CoinPoker.
Reactions were mixed, ranging from sympathy to skepticism. But CoinPoker wasn't finished with the conversation, especially after the post gained attention.
CoinPoker’s Case: RTA Pattern Detected
Shortly after issuing a general statement reaffirming its compliance policies, CoinPoker’s ambassador Mario Mosböck stepped in with a more detailed response.
Using data from the site’s internal investigation and GTOWizard’s Fair Play Check tool, Mosböck highlighted several hands that closely matched solver activity, including one where the user activated their time bank at the exact moment a solver would suggest thinking further.
Poker Community Responds
As the evidence spread, so did the praise. Tony Dunst and Benjamin Rolle (aka Bencb) chimed in to applaud the transparency.
CoinPoker noted it doesn’t keep confiscated funds, instead, those winnings were redistributed to affected players. The site declined to share further technical details to avoid compromising future detection efforts but reiterated it’s ready to provide data to regulatory authorities if needed.
CoinPoker said:
We understand these actions may seem harsh when viewed in isolation. But our priority is to maintain a fair and reliable environment.
