EPT Malta 2025 delivered thrilling action. Tomasz Brzezinski won the Main Event, Alexandros Theologis triumphed in the Super High Roller, and Scott Margereson took the Open title.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta 2025 stood out as one of the most thrilling stops on this year’s circuit, blending world-class poker, Mediterranean glamour, and high-stakes drama.

Hosted at the luxurious Portomaso Casino, the festival brought together an exceptional mix of seasoned professionals and rising stars, all competing for glory across multiple marquee events.

From the electrifying €5,300 Main Event to the elite €100,000 Super High Roller and the record-breaking €1,650 PokerStars Open, every tournament delivered unforgettable moments.

€5,300 Main Event at EPT Malta 2025

The €5,300 Main Event at EPT Malta 2025 delivered drama, grit, and one of the most memorable heads-up showdowns in recent European Poker Tour history. Over six days, the field was whittled down from hundreds of hopefuls to a final table of elite contenders.

Tomasz Brzezinski ultimately captured the crown in a rollercoaster heads-up duel, claiming €631,632 after a deal. He outlasted an impressive 898 entries, contributing to a total prize pool of €4,355,300.
Brzezinski’s win was particularly compelling — it marked back-to-back EPT Main Event final tables for him, having recently finished fourth in Barcelona.

Runner-up Mykhailo Ostash earned €603,058 in his first EPT Main Event final. The atmosphere was electric throughout, as top names and newcomers battled for one of poker’s most prestigious titles.

2025 €100,000 EPT Super High Roller

The €100,000 EPT Super High Roller added elite flair to the Malta festival, drawing an exclusive lineup of poker’s biggest names. With massive buy-ins and sky-high stakes, every hand carried immense weight.

Greece’s Alexandros Theologis emerged victorious in this high-stakes showdown, pocketing €776,200 after navigating a compact but world-class field of 16 entries. The win marked a defining moment in
Theologis’ live career, following close calls earlier in the series.

In the final duel, he defeated Orpen Kisacikoglu, who earned €465,700 for second place. Each decision was a high-pressure moment as the finest minds in poker clashed for prestige and profit.

€1,650 PokerStars Open 2025

The €1,650 PokerStars Open was the festival’s fan favourite — a massive field, life-changing prizes, and the thrill of competition for players of all levels.

Scott Margereson conquered the huge 1,845-entry field to claim €423,700 and the trophy. The event’s prize pool swelled to €2,656,800, making it one of the most lucrative mid-buy-in tournaments of the year.

Runner-up Gerard Carbo took home €264,650 after an impressive run, while notables such as Barny Boatman and Ana Marquez also posted strong finishes. The PokerStars Open showcased poker’s inclusivity and the electric atmosphere of Malta’s biggest festival.
