WPF Ladies Weekend 2025
The WPF Ladies Weekend 2025 wasn’t just another tournament series on the 2025 poker calendar. It was a milestone moment for women’s poker. Held across multiple continents over a single weekend, this first-of-its-kind initiative drew more than 2,200 entries and made poker history in the process.

From the felt of São Paulo to poker rooms in Taiwan, Belgium, Texas, and beyond, the World Poker Federation (WPF) created a shared space for women to compete, network, and make their voices heard. All under the same brand and banner. All over the same weekend.

One Weekend, One Vision, Ten Countries

A total of 10 countries and over 15 cities hosted local editions of the WPF Ladies Weekend, including the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, South Africa, Bulgaria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

Each location brought its own flavor. Some focused on the cards. Others added workshops, panels, and leadership initiatives that highlighted the broader goals of the WPF Women’s Committee.

In the U.S., more than 800 women played across different locations, making it the most represented country. Meanwhile, Brazil’s H2 Club broke out as the largest individual stop, with 500+ participants and over 900 total entries. Taiwan, Belgium, Colombia, and others all helped push the global entry count well above the 2,000 mark.

Icons Join the Celebration

The weekend also served as a showcase for some of the most influential names in women’s poker:
  • Shiina Okamoto: back-to-back WSOP Ladies Event winner in 2024 and 2025, joined the action in Taiwan.
  • Lauriê “Lali” Tournier: PokerStars Team Pro and major figure in Latin American poker, played at the São Paulo stop.
  • Kasey Lyn Mills: a rising U.S. star with three WSOP Circuit rings, added another trophy to her growing collection by winning the Texas stop.

The Engine Behind It All: The WPF Women’s Committee

The WPF Women’s Committee, launched to promote female leadership and visibility in the poker ecosystem, organized this event as its first coordinated international initiative.

Its president, Luana Borges, described the Ladies Weekend as “proof that collaboration leads to transformation.” The message was clear: when women are given visibility and structure, the entire ecosystem benefits.

Looking ahead, the Committee plans to expand in 2026, with more local stops, new countries added to the map, and a possible Grand Final that would bring together local champions under one roof.
