Sandro Carucci won the 2026 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event, securing 3,000,000 MAD. Outlasting a record field of 1,694 entries, Carucci earned his first gold ring and a WSOP Paradise package after a volatile final day.

The 2026 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event concluded with Sandro Carucci standing as the last player from a field of 1,694 entries.

This record-breaking attendance created a total prize pool of 23,039,000 MAD. Carucci earned 3,000,000 MAD, which converts to about €279,000. Along with the cash prize, he secured his first WSOP Circuit gold ring and a €5,000 package for the upcoming WSOP Paradise.

Path to the Final Table

The final day started with 24 players returning to the felt. Early exits included Anthony Apicella in 24th place. Local players Yasser Loudagh and Kassimi Bouchaib soon joined him at the payout desk.

Mohamed Mehalleg, Christopher Chaudey, and Fabio Rodrigues also exited early. Bela Toth and Amine Moussallaoui fell nearly at the same time, leaving 15 players by the first break.

Raul took control after the restart. He flopped a full house to eliminate Tomasz Brzezinski and became the chip leader.

This was a contrast to Aguanteeldiego, who began the day at the top of the counts but finished in 13th place. Aitor Cruz eliminated Bruno David to bring the field to 11 players.

Top 5 Finishers at the Main Event

Malcolm Franchi 2nd 23,00,000

Final Table Momentum Shifts

A massive three-way hand shaped the final table line-up. Joe Z was at risk with queen-jack against the queens of Mehdi Chaoui and the kings of Malcolm Franchi.

Franchi held the best hand to score a double elimination. This allowed him to enter the dinner break as the leader.

Turlough McHugh gained ground once play resumed. He increased his stack with a flopped flush and a successful bluff.

McHugh also knocked out Salim Sefiat in 5th place. Despite this, Franchi regained the lead through a double-up. Raul eventually exited in 4th place after failing to find a double-up of his own.

Heads-Up Play

The hierarchy shifted again when Carucci found a flush to win a huge pot against McHugh. This hand left McHugh with few chips, and he soon finished in 3rd place.

The heads-up battle between Carucci and Franchi lasted only two hands. In the final hand, Carucci held ace-six against the ace-nine of Franchi. A six appeared on the flop to give Carucci the lead. He held through the turn and river to win the title.
