Martin Kabrhel lost 60 big blinds in the $100,000 Triton Main Event to move to another table at WSOP Paradise 2025.

Martin Kabrhel created another talked-about moment at WSOP Paradise 2025 during the $100,000 Triton Main Event. His decision to risk a deep stack in search of a different table seat became one of the standout sequences of Day 1.

Kabrhel reached the Bahamas after taking third place in Event 8, the $125,000 Triton NLH 7 Handed event. That finish paid $1,367,000 and set him up for the next high buy-in challenge.

60 BB Lost in a single move

The Czech pro opened the Main Event with 250,000 chips and gained momentum early. His stack reached 359,000 before the turning point arrived.

He grew frustrated with the table draw and asked the floor for a move. The request was logged for the following day. Play continued, and the key hand unfolded in the penultimate level.

Matthew Wakeman raised to 12,000 on the button. After a brief table talk, Kabrhel shoved. Ihor Popyk folded in the big blind. Wakeman called with the bigger stack.
  • Martin Kabrhel: K♦9♣
  • Matthew Wakeman: AK suited
The board showed 10♦ 10♣ 2♦ 5♠ A♦.

Wakeman collected the pot and climbed to 820,000. Kabrhel lost 60 big blinds and headed to the registration desk for a re-entry. He noted the table was too difficult and left the area.

His return produced an unexpected result. The seat draw placed him at the exact same table. Only the chair number changed.
