The 2026 WSOP recorded 251,899 entries, awarded $469.9 million in prize money, and collected $47.3 million in tournament fees. Pokerfuse reported $33.1 million was retained by the WSOP and $14.2 million was allocated to staff across the series.

The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) produced record participation, awarding hundreds of millions of dollars in prize money while generating significant tournament fee revenue for the festival.

Although players experienced varying results at the tables throughout the summer in Las Vegas, the series itself also posted notable operational figures.

According to a numerical analysis of the 2026 WSOP published by pokerfuse, this year's festival reached several important milestones, including record-breaking entries and substantial tournament fee collections.

The 2026 WSOP recorded a total of 251,899 entries, setting a new all-time record for the series. The figure includes re-entries, while statistics for unique participants were not available.

The record was achieved despite many individual events experiencing lower participation compared to previous editions, highlighting the overall scale of the festival across its full schedule.

The record participation translated into $469.9 million in total prize money awarded during the 2026 WSOP.

The Main Event remained the largest contributor, despite being the fourth-largest edition in the tournament's history. 

It generated an $85.6 million prize pool, representing almost one-sixth of the total prize money awarded throughout the series.

One of the most notable financial figures from the 2026 WSOP was the amount collected through tournament fees.

According to the pokerfuse analysis, the series collected $47.3 million in tournament fees. Of that amount, $33.1 million was retained by the World Series of Poker, while $14.2 million was allocated to staff.

These figures represent the operational revenue generated from tournament fees across the festival and provide insight into the financial scale of the world's longest-running live poker series.

The pokerfuse analysis did not include a separate estimate for the Main Event's tournament fee collection.
Based on the figures provided, the estimated tournament fee revenue from the 2026 WSOP Main Event is $5,524,800. That estimate is described as being almost equivalent to the tournament's second-place prize.

While the tournament fee totals may appear significant, they reflect the size of the World Series of Poker schedule.

The WSOP hosts the longest poker series in the world, with the majority of its tournaments attracting thousands of entrants. 

Several events also draw participation measured in the tens of thousands, contributing to both the overall prize pools and tournament fee totals.
